Founders

  • Founder Wolf Bierens is a Dutch entrepreneurial engineer with a background in environmental technology and sustainable building. He was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2017 and twice on the Sustainable Young 100 (DJ100) in The Netherlands, in 2016 and 2020.

  • Niels van den Berge is an expert on international development, climate and water, and has a background in sustainable forestry. He has worked with NGOs and governments on projects concerning water and sanitation. In addition, Niels has extensive experience in coaching and supporting sustainable enterprises in developing countries.

Business Development & Support

  • Kim has an academic background in international and sustainable development. Having joined Easy Housing in 2021, she has seen the company grow and has played a crucial role in its development and professionalisation. Her key strengths include fundraising, reporting, data analysis and management.

Stellah Namutebi

  • Stellah holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University and a Certificate in Administrative Officers Law from the Law Development Centre. With experience in office administration, human resources, and field marketing, she supports both sales and admin at Easy Housing.

Architecture & Engineering

  • Aaron holds a bachelor's degree in Architecture from the International University of East Africa. With a strong passion for community-focused projects and sustainable architecture, he brings experience from both construction companies and architectural firms in Uganda.

Alberto Cumerlato

  • Alberto Cumerlato is a licensed architect in Italy and a registered member of OAPPC Venezia. He has worked for many renowned offices and organisations in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Besides his other global projects, Alberto is functioning as an advisor regarding architecture and design.

  • Lucy has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Makerere University. With experience in renewable energy and hands-on solar training, she looks forward to contributing to eco-friendly home construction using sustainable timber, aligning with her goal of combating climate change.

  • Zani has worked in design and construction projects across East Africa, delivering social impact projects with a special focus on natural materials. She holds a Masters in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities and is a Techwomen fellow who is passionate about improving the lives of women in STEM.

Lucy Nitusiima

  • Robin Ochieng is an Architecture Intern at Easy Housing and a JKUAT honors graduate. At Easy Housing, he is supporting the Kenyan team with his user-focused designs. He is driven by a passion for social impact, nature and the creative arts.

Remy Eugene

  • Remy is an Architectural Intern with Easy Housing Kenya, driven by a passion for net-zero design and research that reimagines sustainable structures. He is especially interested in how timber construction can create resilient, people-centred spaces with low environmental impact.

  • Evaline Alum is a civil engineer and a climate activist with a strong passion for writing. She has recently graudated her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the International University of East Africa. She is eager to expand her knowledge and provide dedicated support to the Easy Housing construction team.

Ivan Nsunah

  • Ivan is a civil Engineer with a bachelor's in civil and building Engineering from Kyambogo University and 2.5 years of working experience. At Easy Housing, Ivan is part of the Project Management team, working on the timely construction and ensuring the quality of our homes.

  • Rawlings has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Makerere University. He is passionate about innovation and sustainability, and he is eager to use his engineering skills to create more climate resilience and sustainable housing in Africa. He has joined Easy Housing as project management intern.

  • Tabith has a Bachelor of science in civil Engineering at the international university of East Africa. She has several years of experience in civil work, including road and building construction, surveying and tools like ArchiCad. Currently, she is working at Easy Housing as Junior Project Manager.

  • Emmanuel Alando is a Construction Manager at Easy Housing Kenya with a civil engineering background and hands-on experience managing residential and infrastructure projects. He leads site execution, contractor coordination, and quality control to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Gorret Womugisa

  • Gorret is a Civil Engineer holding a Bachelor’s degree from the International University of East Africa with a strong passion for sustainable construction solutions. At Easy Housing, she works with the construction team to ensure fast production processes and delivery of quality homes.

  • Doreen has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture at Makerere University. She has over four years of experience in the construction industry as architect and construction manager. As part of Easy Housing, she is eager to be out in the field and explore new construction techniques.

  • Francis Maina is an Architectural Designer with over three years of professional experience specializing in sustainable, low-carbon design and green building. He holds a deep passion for utilizing nature-based technologies and traditional techniques to shape the future of sustainable construction.

  • Diana is a construction manager with a strong interest in environmental sustainability and community well-being. She is supporting Easy Housing Kenya as project manager, while also working on her EDGE Certification.

  • Collins is a Construction Management graduate from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, with over two years of experience in site supervision and project coordination. At Easy Housing Kenya, he is working as Project Manager, overseeing procurement, workshop and site operations.

Sales & Marketing

  • With over 16 years of experience, Charlotte is an expert in the sales and marketing field. She’s excited to join Easy Housing for her next adventure after her time with reputable organisations such as Knight Frank, Eco Bank and Multi Choice.

Brian Kulubya

  • Kulubya is a real estate sustainability professional with a background in sustainable forestry. His work focuses on delivering affordable, low-carbon housing using bio-based materials. A frequent media speaker, he challenges misconceptions around timber construction and climate adaptation. Since 2023, he has contributed to the delivery of over 60 sustainable homes with Easy Housing.

  • Moses is a climate justice activist and environmentalist with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. He has a background in web and graphic design, and he is passionate about sustainable development, sustainable tourism, and sustainable travel.

  • Branton is the sales and marketing intern at Easy Housing Kenya, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Public Relations from Rongo University. He is passionate about content development, digital marketing, sales, and strategic communication for sustainability focused organizations.

  • Monicah holds a BSc. in Public Health and brings a strong foundation in administration and client relations. With experience in both NGO and corporate settings, she is driven by a passion to make a lasting impact through affordable, eco-friendly housing. At Easy Housing Kenya, she works as Sales Representative in Kenya.

  • Etta Madete Mukuba is a licensed architect, housing developer, sustainable development expert and researcher passionate about sustainable, affordable, and gender-inclusive housing solutions in Africa. She has both local and international experience in all portions of the housing development life-cycle, and is the founding director of Zima Homes, an award-winning Kenyan housing development company.

Roy Githaiga

  • Roy Githaiga is an award-nominated certified Graduate Master of Architecture with extensive experience in sustainable design, urban planning, and affordable housing. With a diverse background spanning local and international projects, he is passionate about culture-centred design, nature-based solutions, alternative building technologies, resilience mapping, and sustainability across sectors.

  • Robert van Kats has over 20 years of experience in architecture, engineering and supervising climate friendly building projects in Europe and Africa. Recently, he founded Studio Akēka, an international architecture studio focused on eco-friendly design. Robert is especially interested in the intersection of local cultures and modern societies, eco-friendly technologies and natural materials.

  • Irfan is a seasoned Non-Executive Director and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience leading diverse sectors through capital raises and digital transformation. He leverages a deep East African network and extensive governance expertise to guide listed companies and scale-ups through complex regulatory and stakeholder environments.
