Easy Housing - Pioneering the Construction Industry
Easy Housing is one of the thought leaders in the African construction industry. We have been pioneering new technologies and approaches in the urban affordable housing market since our inception in 2020. The construction industry is ripe for disruption, and we are committed to leading that disruption.
Traditional methods of construction use the linear, one way system of take-make-dispose which creates waste and increases the amount of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. Circular construction methods promote recycling and reuse of materials together with the refurbishment of old buildings. Easy Homes embody these principles and are made from sustainable timber and biobased materials.
Our approach is based on three core principles:
Innovation: We are constantly developing new housing designs and typologies from sustainable building materials. For example, using foundation blocks made from recycled plastic. We believe that innovation is essential to the future of the construction industry.
Collaboration: We are committed to creating local value chains by partnering with other organisations to share ideas and resources.
Sustainability: According to the World Green Building Council, the construction industry contributes close to 40% of carbon emissions globally (28% from operations emissions and 11% from construction). As a result, we believe that the construction industry has a responsibility to be sustainable. At Easy Housing, we are committed to using sustainable materials and practices in our work.
We are still on our journey, but we are confident that we are making a difference. We believe that the construction industry is on the cusp of a major transformation, and we are committed to leading that transformation.

We envision a future where everyone has a home that is decent, affordable and safe. We also envision a future where the construction industry is more innovative, collaborative, and sustainable. This future is possible, and we are committed to making it a reality through our sustainable forestry economy efforts. We are working with other organisations to share our ideas and resources, and we are developing new technologies to make the construction industry more efficient and sustainable.
